"TERRA FIRMA & THE IMPRINT OF ARCHITECTURE"

As part of USC Architecture Faculty Sightings SP25, Yo Hakomori will present Terra Firma & the Imprint of Architecture, a talk exploring the spatial and formal relationship between architecture and topography. The discussion will focus on how the manipulation of the ground plane serves as an intermediary between the natural and built environment.

Hakomori will illustrate these ideas through two recent projects by StudioHAU, examining their conceptual connections to Land Art. The talk will highlight the role of terrain in architectural design, emphasizing the interplay between natural landscapes and human intervention.
