USC SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE STUDY ABROAD IN BARCELONA
As director of the Asian Architecture Landscape and Urbanism program, principal Yo-ichiro Hakomori participated in the USC School of Architecture study abroad program to Barcelona with Gary Paige of USC, Ricardo Davesa of ETSALA, and Jaime Font Furest of ETSALA. Radical Landscapes Waterfront Urbanism Studio explored the urban interconnection between landscape, architecture, and infrastructure. USC students selected sites along the Besos River in Barcelona addressing global issues related to housing and contemporary urbanism, while reflecting Barcelona’s rich architectural and urban culture.
