GRUETER RESIDENCE FEATURED IN THE LOS ANGELES TIMES

Our latest built project, the four-story, 4,455-square-foot Hollywood Grueter Residence, was recently featured in the 'Weekend' section of The Los Angeles Times. Writer Lisa Boone detailed the complexity of this ambitious house while mentioning two other projects we're designing for the client on totally different sites.

She noted, "[Yo] Hakomori never thought the site was impossible to build on, based on other hillside homes such as Rudolph Schindler’s Wolfe House on Catalina Island, but the lot’s unique topography presented numerous challenges during construction, from ensuring the structure’s stability (with more than 35 caissons) to managing the permitting process and meeting with multiple neighborhood planning committees."
