PRINCIPAL YO-ICHIRO HAKOMORI CONDUCTS USC - AALU’19 WORKSHOP WITH ETH ZURICH FCL IN SINGAPORE
USC - Asian Architecture Landscape and Urbanism program participated in a workshop at ETH Zurich Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore this past November. Lead by Yo-ichiro Hakomori and Warren Techentin of USC, and Aurel von Richthofen of ETH Zurich FCL, the workshop studied the potential retrofit of mid-century brutalist housing projects in Singapore utilizing Singapore's LUSH criteria for the introduction of vegetation as a sustainable component within urban development. As an ongoing partnership with ETH Zurich FCL and USC - AALU, this was the second workshop to investigate the sustainability of Dense and Green buildings in Singapore.
